  2. This was excellent and one of my favorites from you so far. If I may make one recommendation: When people are transformed in a story like this they must retain *something* of their former selves or else there is no one left to experience being humbled. It could be the former self is 'trapped' in there but they can't just be gone. Otherwise it is like Aidan doesn't exist anymore so who is really being punished?

  3. Thanks for the comment. I think sometimes the punishment is for the benefit of the punisher, not the victim. That is to say, they don't want eternal torment on the other, but sometimes just to remove a problem.
